Hinode Gama is a pottery studio located at the foot of the Hira mountain, where Atago, the god of fire, is still venerated.

Hinode Gama Gallery is located in a 250-year-old reed-roofed traditional house.

The studio was named Hinode Gama (hinode meaning sunrise) because of the beautiful sunrise that can be seen over Lake Biwa from it.
